Hey dudes! Get treated to an early Christmas present by coming down to Origami at 7pm to hear Los Angeles duo Tashaki Miyaki perform live.
2012 has been a great year for fans of shoegaze and dream pop, and Tashaki Miyaki is one of those reasons why. They recently just put out a killer release of 80's covers done in a dreamy fuzzed out fashion on top of a 7" they released in late July on Luv Luv Luv titled "Best Friend," so needless to say these guys are on their grind as of late.
A song of theirs that has really blown me out of the water is the title track from "Best Friend," which you can listen to below. It is 5 minutes of heavenly fuzzed out 60's flower pop.
